| Bio: | This livejournal has been primarily friends-only for quite some time. I'm going through and opening things up, but it's taking a while. In the meantime, comment or send me an email if you want to be added.
(edited September 13, 2007: whoa, I was seriously overdue for an update) I'm 31 and live in New Westminster, BC, Canada (which is pretty much a suburb of Vancouver). I have 2 cats. Ginny is a 2 year old Maine Coon mix, and Hermione is a 5 year old brown marbled bengal who is very affectionate and has no sense of balance. I live with a roommate C who is an older guy and we get along just fine. I'm a legal assistant working for a small to medium sized law firm in downtown Vancouver doing family, civil litigation, wills & estates and miscellaneous other stuff, and I generally love my job, but it's not a challenge anymore and I'm currently going to school part time to become a paralegal.
I used to be very active in the SCA, but haven't been quite so much lately. I'm known as Lady Madylyne Sparkes or Lady Asny Karlsdottir from the Barony of Lions Gate, Kingdom of An Tir. Within the SCA, my areas of interest are early-period (800-1000) Norse and Celtic, and Elizabethan England.
My hobbies are widely varied... I'm a big crafter, especially fibre arts in general, including spinning, weaving, knitting and nalbinding. I'm also interested in costuming, lacemaking, calligraphy and illumination, soap and candle-making, pysanky, and just about any other craft I can get my hands on. Aside from crafts, I'm a voracious reader, I play a lot of computer games (I'm addicted to World of Warcraft, though I used to play Everquest 2), I love watching movies, and I enjoy cooking and baking.
For fandoms... my biggest one is Harry Potter (I ship Snape/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, Harry/Hermione, Harry/Hermione/Ron, hell... anything that's NOT Ron/Hermione, really). I also love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Lord of the Rings and House.
